Sasha Silbley wanted a way to conform an edit without XML, so he built some software called CornerCut that converts prproj → drp directly, with no XML required. This allows you to move entire Adobe Premiere edits to DaVinci Resolve.
Anyone who needs to migrate a project between non-linear editing systems will be familiar with the pain of having broken XML transfers that require tons of time to fix and resolve. This slows everything down and causes unnecessary frustration.

CornerCut is solely a data translation tool that allows you to move your entire timeline, including automation, keyframes, audio routing, and remaps between non-linear editing systems.

Currently, there is only the Premiere to DaVinci Resolve engine, but CornerCut will be expanded going forward.
Sasha is opening up a beta for editors and conform artists. Currently, it’s free, and he is looking for real-world projects to test it.
