According to SmallRig, it was designed to recreate the classic film shooting feeling. It is claimed to provide a wide, versatile framing angle matching a 35mm full-frame lens. Unless you are using a fixed 35mm focal length lens, it isn’t going to be very useful for much else!
The viewfinder utilizes 5 groups of precision optical glass with 93% light transmission to produce a clear, bright, low-distortion view. There are also
built-in standard 3:2 aspect ratio framing lines.
The viewfinder attaches to most popular camera hot shoes (compatible with select Fujifilm, Nikon, Canon, Sony, Ricoh, Leica models listed) with a silicone pad to protect hot shoe contacts.
