Atomos Ninja V Firmware Update

Atomos has just released the AtomOS 10.55 firmware update for the Ninja V monitor/recorder.

The main benefit of this firmware update is that now ISO metadata is embedded when recording in ProRes Raw with the Sony a7S III and the Sigma fp.

This metadata can only be seen in FCPX and it won’t be visible if you are using ProRes RAW material shot by these two cameras in other NLE programs.

According to Atomos, the firmware update is available, but I could only find AtomOS version 10.54 on their website. This usually happens with their announcements, so check back on their site in a few hours’ time to see if it has been updated.
