TLS is teasing its upcoming rehoused Nikon AI/AI-S cinema lens series that brings the legendary character of vintage Nikon optics into a modern, cinema-ready housing. They will be on display at Cine Gear 2026.
The Nikon AI/AI-S have long been admired for their organic rendering, natural skin tones, controlled flare, and texture, and they have long been a favourite among cinematographers looking for visual character. TLS’s rehousing preserves that classic look while adding the precision engineering, consistency, and reliability required for today’s productions.
The series will feature an 11-lens set covering focal lengths from 15mm to 135mm, with fast apertures ranging from T1.3 to T3.9.
