ARRI and HONOR have announced the co-branded HONOR Magic9 Pro Max, which marks their second collaboration after the Robot Phone.
The HONOR Magic9 Pro Max is part of the company’s flagship Magic Series, and it features ARRI Looks and access to the ARRI Look Library. It also integrates selected elements of ARRI Image Science across capture, color management, real-time preview, and finishing. Users can record ARRI
LogC3 recording in the ARRI Wide Gamut 3 color space.

The phone combines dual 200MP cameras with the HONOR Imaging Chip H1, APV 10-bit 4:2:2 recording, a directional microphone, and optional creation accessories including the HONOR Teleconverter G200, HONOR
Teleconverter G500, and the HONOR SmallRig Mobile Video Kit.
It can record 4K@30/60/120fps, and 1080p@24/30/60/120/240fps.
The display is a 6.8″ LTPO OLED, with a resolution of 1320 x 2868 pixels and a claimed peak brightness of 10,000 nits.
According to ARRI, this is their next step in expanding into Content Creation. The HONOR Magic9 Pro Max will initially launch in China, with more markets to follow. It isn’t available in the USA, where HONOR’s products have been prohibited for sale.
