Godox AM6000R First Look at IBC 2026

At IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, Godox was showing a prototype of its upcoming AM6000R, a massive 6000W fixture that consists of 3 large panels in an inflatable frame that combine to produce a 12′ x 16′ source.

The AM600R RGB Inflatable LED Light Mat features a durable inflatable frame. The light allows for 8-PSI high-pressure quick inflation and can be suspended for up to 15 days without reinflation.

The fixture has multiple lighting modes and a CCT selection from 1,800 to 10,000K, as well as +/- green/magenta color correction. The AM6000R can produce bright, soft lighting, and it will come with three diffusers and a grid.

The AM6000R has CCT, HSI, RGBW, GEL, XY, and FX modes. Users can adjust the brightness from 0 to 100% and access four dimming curves: linear, S-curve, exponential, and logarithmic. The light operates in conjunction with three controller boxes that can be run in parallel. You can also individually control the three different panels as well.

The fixture is compatible with wired DMX512, RDM, or wireless LumenRadio CRMX. Additionally, Ethernet control supports the Art-Net and sACN protocols. It can also be controlled via Bluetooth using the Godox Light and Godox KNOWLED apps from up to 196′ away.

As far as durability is concerned, the AM6000R has a Carbon fiber backplate and reinforced inflatable fabric. The backplate also has a flexible PCB to reduce deformation stress. The airframe is claimed to be resistant to scratches, abrasion, and frequent on-set handling. The LED modules are replaceable for maintenance and long-term use.
