Phantom has released a downloadable white paper where you can learn six different triggering methods that are available when using Phantom cameras. This is a very handy guide, especially if you plan on renting a Phantom camera for a project.

In high-speed imaging, a “trigger” is the near-instantaneous moment when the camera halts its first-in first-out process.
The paper covers the following trigger methods:
- Transistor-Transistor Logic (TTL) Trigger
- DC Voltage Trigger
- Software Trigger
- Image-Based Auto Trigger (IBAT)
- On-Camera Controls.
The paper was written by Gene Nepomuceno, Field Applications Engineer, and Kyle Gilroy, Applications Development Manager, Vision Research.
