Tilta RED Komodo Cage

Tilta is teasing a new cage for RED’s upcoming Komodo. While Tilta hasn’t provided any details or pricing, if you are looking at purchasing a Komodo then you will probably also be looking at a cage so you can build the camera up.

Great day today. The incredible process put in place by Masha ( HR ) and Aaron ( Manufacturing ) to adapt to this new COVID world is working. After testing every staff member again this week after a single positive case we are happy to report that the protocols in place ( diligent temperature checks, masks, distancing, obsessive sanitizing etc ) seem to all be working as every test that came back this week was negative. These safety protocols are a pain in the ass but this is great proof that they actually do work. So this morning we went back to making stormtroopers… here is the first batch assembled this morning going into the “functional testing “ phase where all inputs and outputs are tested. Just one step of many tests and calibrations that will continue for the next 10 days till these actual cameras are delivered into customers hands. I really love this stuff so just sharing a little look behind the curtain for those that are interested.

RED has been teasing the Komodo for a very long time and select users have already been using versions of the camera out in the field for the last month or so.

It is still unclear when regular customers are expected to be able to purchase and receive a Komodo.
