Atomos introduced the Shinobi 7 II at IBC 2026, a 7-inch step-up from the 5-inch Shinobi II that carries over the same monitoring and camera-control toolset in a bigger, brighter panel — and adds an Ethernet port that extends camera control to bodies the smaller Shinobi couldn’t reach. We spoke with Peter Barber, CEO of Atomos. on the show floor.
What it is
The Shinobi 7 II is built around a 7-inch, 2800-nit touchscreen — nearly double the 1500-nit brightness of the 5-inch Shinobi II — aimed at filmmakers, DPs, and ACs who need a daylight-viewable monitor with onboard camera control. Atomos says the panel matches the Shinobi II’s thin profile despite the larger screen size.
The headline addition is a 10GbE Ethernet port on the back, alongside the existing USB-C control. According to Peter, that’s what makes camera control possible on bodies the USB-C-only Shinobi II couldn’t reach, including the Canon C50, C80, and C100, and the Sony FX5 and FX6.

The Shinobi line now has four monitors
Peter confirmed the Shinobi range is now four models deep: Shinobi Go, the 5-inch Shinobi II, this new Shinobi 7 II, and the Shinobi 7 RX, which adds built-in SDI and Wi-Fi video receiving so it can double as a wireless handheld monitor paired with an Atomos TX transmitter.
Atomos TX-RX wireless system
Atomos also had its TX-RX wireless transmitter/receiver set on display alongside the new monitor. It transmits HDMI up to 4Kp30 or SDI (3G) up to 1080p60, over a range of up to 300 meters (985 feet), and one transmitter can feed up to four receivers simultaneously — a dedicated RX unit, a Shinobi 7 RX, or an iOS/Android device running the Atomos RX app.
Price & availability
The Shinobi 7 II is shipping now at $499 USD / €499 (excluding local taxes) direct from Atomos and authorized resellers. It wasn’t yet listed at B&H Photo at time of writing; we’ll add the affiliate link once it’s live.
