Tamron has released the 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Lens in Nikon Z and Canon RF mounts. The lens has been available in Sony E-mount since 2020, and it is also available in FUJIFILM X-Mount.

The Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Lens is a 25.5-105mm-equivalent lens for APS-C-format Nikon Z-mount and Canon RF-mount mirrorless cameras. The wide-to-short tele range makes it suitable for a wide array of applications.

The lens is equipped with a Vibration Compensation image stabilization system, which reduces the appearance of camera shake for steadier photo and video recording in low-light conditions. The RXD stepping motor is claimed to enable quick, near-silent autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override and a minimum focusing distance of 7.5″.

The optical design consists of 16 elements in 12 groups, and it has 9 aperture blades.

It also features a moisture-resistant construction and a fluorine-coated front element to protect against fingerprints and smudges.
