Lensworks has announced its new X65 Large Format Prime Set, that were designed and manufactured entirely in-house at the company’s Burbank facility. The lenses will be available in 10 focal lengths ranging from 28mm to 180mm.
The X65 primes will fully cover open-gate on both the ARRI ALEXA 65, Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65, and the FUJIFILM Eterna 55. They feature relatively fast T-stops across the set and a robust housing design. Lensworks states that the lenses balance modern precision with cinematic character.

The 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm are currently available. The 40mm, 65mm, 100mm, 135mm, 165mm, and 180mm will be coming soon.
The X65 prime set is claimed to offer beautiful lens flares and vintage characteristics, all in a modern and robust mechanical design. They are said to offer excellent close focus and beautiful micro contrast for smooth skin tones.

Every lens passes through full QC, collimation, and calibration, ensuring focus accuracy, mechanical consistency, and durability under heavy professional use.
