Movcam has announced the SRC-1 Digital Servo Lens Controller for Fujinon and Canon Lenses. The SRC-1 is a compact digital servo lens controller designed for camera operators who need direct control over lens focus, zoom, and iris from a variety of camera support systems.
The SRC-1 is compatible with Fujinon and Canon digital servo lenses via a 20-pin connection. It provides control over focus, zoom, iris, VTR and RET functions, while also supporting QuickZoom and continuously variable zoom-speed adjustment.
It was designed for one-handed operation, and the controller can be mounted on a Steadicam, tripod pan bar, or camera handle. Its layout is intended to provide a consistent operating experience for both left- and right-handed users. Operators can also reverse the control direction of the focus, zoom, and iris functions according to their preferred setup.

In addition to direct lens control, the SRC-1 can connect to selected cameras through USB-C. Supported systems include Sony’s FX5, FX3 and Alpha-series cameras, as well as Kinefinity cameras such as the Vista. Depending on the camera and connection configuration, users can control focus, zoom, iris, QuickZoom, and recording functions from the controller.
The SRC-1 can also be used to control external lens motors. Current compatibility includes Movcam’s UM5 and UM4 motors, with additional motor systems planned for future firmware updates.
The controller features a compact all-metal construction intended for professional production environments. Focus and iris control can be disabled when required, allowing operators to configure the SRC-1 for simpler zoom-only operation or to match the requirements of a specific camera package.
