Z CAM has released a firmware update for the E2-F6 Pro that adds ProRes RAW internally at up to 6K 60fps.

The Z CAM E2-F6 Pro is the company’s flagship camera. It was first shown as a prototype back at IBC 2022, and it started shipping in mid-2023. I did an in-depth review of the camera a few years ago, and you can see it here.

The Z CAM E2-F6 Pro Full-Frame Cinema Camera comes with a Canon EF lens mount; however, it can also be used with separately available ARRI PL and Leica M mounts. The EF mount and PL mount can both use an optional eND module.

Z CAM previously released Firmware 0.9.9, which enabled RAW over HDMI (ProRes RAW recording on Atomos Ninja V). It is good to see the company now offer internal ProRes RAW recording. With so many competing options offering some form of internal RAW recording, it’s something the company arguably had to do to stay competitive.
