At IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, SmallRig was showing its new iPhone 18 Pro Cage Series. There are two kits: the Dual-Handle Kit and the Creator Kit. They are both built around the new iPhone 18 Pro cage and SmallRig’s MicroSlide quick-release ecosystem.
Dual-Handle Kit for iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max ($139.99 USD)
The Dual-Handle Kit for iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max was built for users who need two-hand control and flexibility. The Dual-Handle Kit could be used for vlogging, travel, live coverage, and social video content.

It features a titanium-alloy frame with built-in small NATO rails, 1/4″-20 mounts, cold-shoe mounts, a quick-release mount, and a 67mm magnetic filter backplate. A wireless multi-function adjustable side handle features a built-in Bluetooth remote for shutter and record start/stop.
The kit includes a video cage, a Rotating Smart Control Handle with Wireless Control for SR-MicroSlide, a Rotating Handle for SR-MicroSlide, and a 67mm Attachable Filter Backplate. Optional T-Mount Lens Backplate, 17mm Lens Backplate, and 67mm Threaded Filter Backplate are available separately for enhanced optical output.
The phone can be mounted directly into the cage. SmallRig’s patented SR-MicroSlide rail system runs around the cage, allowing users to attach and freely position a wide range of compatible accessories. The SR-MicroSlide system enables the convenient attachment of cold shoe mounts, NATO rails, Arca-Swiss plate adapters, handles, and other accessories, allowing users to mount tripods, microphones, monitors, and lights. The cage also features multiple 1/4″-20 anti-twist threaded holes for professional accessory expansion. It retains the classic quick release interfaces and is compatible with the HawkLock ecosystem.
Wrist strap and shoulder strap holes are located at all four corners of the cage and are compatible with professional wrist and shoulder straps with a cord diameter of less than 2mm, keeping the user’s hands free between shots. The open-back design fully exposes the iPhone’s MagSafe attachment area and helps optimize heat dissipation during shooting. The cage does not obstruct any of the iPhone’s buttons, ports, ultra-wide camera, or wireless charging areas. The all-new cover-plate design balances installation convenience and operational safety, helping reduce the risk of phone damage caused by accidental drops once the phone is secured. Constructed from aluminium alloy, the cage provides all-around protection while helping absorb shocks and prevent scratches.
The handles quickly secure to the cage via the SR-MicroSlide rail system, enabling installation and removal in one second. The handles support stepless rotation for a comfortable grip and smooth movements at any angle. The lever-style design allows handle adapter positioning and configuration adjustment. In addition to shooting control, the detachable wireless remote control supports zoom, EV adjustment, and switching between the front and rear cameras. The remote can be removed for standalone use and has a maximum control range of 10m / 32.8ft.
Creator Kit for iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max ($189.99 USD)
The Creator Kit pairs the iPhone 18 cage with the full SmallRig NATO ecosystem, wooden handles, and a swappable backplate system. You can use it to mount external SSDs, on-camera monitoring, wireless video, V-mount power, and multiple filters. SmallRig states that it could be used for commercial work, short films, and product videos.
The iPhone 18 cage features a titanium-alloy frame, 4x small NATO rails, 5x cold-shoe mounts, 13x 1/4″-20 and 2x 3/8″-16 threaded mounts. Additionally, there is a quick-release mount, 4x strap holes, and a swappable lens and filter backplate system.
You also get a cylindrical wooden handle and a ball-top wooden handle. The
Swift Hawk NATO rail is a full-size NATO adapter for attaching accessories, and there is an Arca-Swiss quick-release plate for attaching the cage to a tripod or gimbal.
In the kit, you get a 17mm threaded lens backplate that allows you to mount M-mount or 17mm-thread lenses. There is also a 67mm magnetic filter backplate for CPL, ND, and other 67mm filters.
