At IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, Portkeys was showcasing its new MT22DS II heavy-duty production monitor. The 21.5-inch production monitor is encased in ultra-durable aluminum and ships in a protective EPP box.
The Portkeys MT22DS II features a matte 21.5-inch display with 1,500nits of brightness, a 1920 x 1080 resolution, and a 1200:1 contrast ratio with a wide 178° viewing angle. It also has a maximum brightness of 1,500nits and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. Additionally, there are SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs, as well as a GPI input.
It builds on the success of the MT22DS, and it now ships in a lightweight EPP box. The EPP box is claimed to be 60% lighter than traditional flycases; however, it is still drop-resistant, withstands impacts, can hold gear on top (or even serve as a chair), floats, and is flame-retardant.
An optional screen protector can be installed in front of the display to prevent impacts, fingerprints, and scratches.
Each monitor is factory color-calibrated with Calman tools and colorimeters to ensure precise color with a DeltaE below 2 and 100% coverage of the Rec.709 and DCI-P3 color spaces.
The case with the monitor inside measures 61.5 x 49.8 x 17cm/24.1 x 19.6 x 6.7in and weighs 9.65kg / 21.2lbs (monitor only: 7.15kg/15.7lbs).
There are four user-assignable function buttons at the front of the monitor, six buttons to switch between your different video input sources and viewing modes, and three quick operation buttons to capture a screenshot or display overlays. A rotary knob lets you navigate the menu, and there are two front-facing speakers
At the back of the monitor, you’ll find all the input/output ports protected by
dustproof silicone covers: two 3G-SDI, one HDMI, and one GPI video input port, as well as one 3G-SDI and one HDMI output port that support cross-conversion and resolutions up to 1080P60. There is also one 3.5mm headphone jack and one USB-A port that allows users to load up to 20 custom LUTs into the monitor and save freeze-frame images onto the included mini USB stick.
The Portkeys MT22DS II features two V-Mount battery plates to power the monitor, and a 4-pin XLR 12-24V power input port. At the top of the monitor, you’ll find three built-in Sony NP-F-style battery plates with pass-through power for wireless video receivers. These power plates are rotatable to fit most wireless video systems on the market.
Additionally, there are quite a few 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 mounting points on all sides for attaching camera accessories, wireless video transmitters, follow-focus hand units, etc.
The monitor comes with large built-in feet, and there are also VESA 100 mounting points at the back. An optional Portkeys VESA Mount to 5/8” baby pin adapter plate is available.
The MT22DS II comes with a large array of monitoring and viewing tools, including:
• Triple-screen vertical mode: displays up to three vertical signals
simultaneously, making it equivalent to three 12-inch monitors.
• Triple-screen horizontal mode: displays up to three horizontal signals
simultaneously with waveform/histogram/vectorscope monitoring tools.
• H2V Crop mode: displays one horizontal and one vertical signal side-by-
side, handy for situations where you need to produce both video formats
simultaneously.
• Picture-in-picture, picture-by-picture, and single picture modes.
• 3D LUT monitoring: up to 20 custom LUTs can be loaded via the USB-A
port. 3D LUT output capabilities.
• Image analysis and exposure tools, including Waveform with pre/post 3D
LUT, RGB and Luma Waveform, RGB Histogram, Vectorscope, Zebra, and
ARRI False Color.
• Freeze-frame and overlay functionality, with the ability to load third-
party JPG images.
• Anamorphic image de-squeeze.
• Focus assist.
• Framing tools: crosshair, check field, guides, grids, rectangle crop.
• Audio meters, timecode, and tally light.
• Monitor adjustments: backlight, contrast, brightness, saturation, color
temperature, sharpness, tint, adjustable RGB, image flip (H/V) and mirror.

The Portkeys MT22DS II is now shipping for $1,499 USD. The monitor comes with all essential accessories: the EPP case, 4-pin XLR power adapter, mini USB stick, button-head hexagon socket screws, and an Allen wrench.
