Tamron 25–200mm F/2.8–5.6 Di III VXD G2 lens firmware update improves the maximum magnification

Tamron has released a firmware update for the 25–200mm F/2.8–5.6 Di III VXD G2 lens for Sony E-mount that improves the maximum magnification at focal lengths of 25–70mm to 1:2 half-macro or greater.

At 35–50mm, a maximum magnification of 1:1.7 is achievable, allowing shooting at magnifications exceeding half-macro.

The Ver. 3 firmware update can be done using the TAMRON Lens Utility.
