The CineEdge Display from Dig.Tech features a 2560×720 ultrawide 800nits touchscreen with a body made from machined aluminum. It also has a large array of anti-twist mounting. It was designed to be an ancillary display that can be placed onto a packed desk/cart to display additional vital information.
It looks like a decent solution as an additional display for use with software like Omniscope and ScopeBox, allowing you to utilize the scopes you need right next to your primary display.
The CineEdge Display is machined out of solid aluminium. You can mount it in a variety of ways, as it features lots of 1/4-20″ and 3/8″ threads with ARRI style locking pins (10.4mm and 15mm spacing), as well as compatibility with the VESA 75mm and 100mm standard.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t feature any SDI inputs, so you need to use a single USB-C cable or HDMI.
Dig.Tech has integrated a cable clamp to prevent accidental cable disconnects when moving.
There will be a cable clamp in the box, but if you want to make your own design, then above you can see the hole spacing.
Dig.Tech doesn’t include a USBC cable or HDMI to Mini HDMI cable; however, if you need these cables, you can select them at checkout, and they will be included for no additional charge.
There are buttons on the reverse of the display where you can set up the monitor’s brightness/contrast, etc. However, they recommend using this app: https://github.com/MonitorControl/MonitorControl. This adds a menu in the upper menu bar to allow you to control the brightness easily from the touchscreen. Once installed, users can access the settings and, under the displays tab, enable advanced settings, then set the brightness DCC max to 40. This will prevent a ‘looping’ of the brightness as you move the slider.
