Strada Version 2.0

Strada Version 2.0 has been announced. Strada Version 2.0 features a completely new look, major performance upgrades, and new capabilities designed for teams of all shapes and sizes.

CEO Michael Cioni unveils the next version of Strada during a livestream. According to Cioni, the creative industry has been conditioned to accept the “cloud tax”—paying for storage, enduring transfer delays, and losing control of media ownership. Strada aims to eliminate this by turning local storage into a secure, globally accessible media platform without requiring cloud uploads.

Strada v2 is built to mirror standard operating system Finder or File Explorer interfaces, ensuring a minimal learning curve. It includes a built-in player that supports frame-by-frame navigation and advanced playback shortcuts.

Core Capabilities

Direct Access: Users can invite collaborators to access drives directly on their desk with granular, folder-level permissions (viewer, downloader, editor, admin).

Seamless Transfer: Files can be moved between remote computers simply by dragging and dropping within the interface.

Remote Editing: Strada acts as a virtual file system, allowing editors to import and work on proxies located on remote machines across the globe using industry-standard software like Final Cut ProPremiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.

Pricing & Availability

Strada offers free, basic, and unlimited tiers with no limits on the number of connected computers or storage size. The basic plan starts at $8 USD per user/month, and all sign-ups include a 7-day unlimited trial.

Strada v2 will be available for Apple Silicon and Windows later this June.
