Atomos has released a free firmware update for the Shinobi II and Shinobi 7 RX that adds additional camera control support.
Firmware release 11.07.00 brings camera control, including touch to focus, to an even wider range of popular camera models.
Newly supported camera models:
- Canon: EOS R5; EOS R6; EOS R6 Mark III
- Fujifilm: GFX100S II; GFX100RF
- Nikon: ZR; Z7 II (stills mode only)
- Panasonic: DC-GH7; DC-S1RM2; DC-S1M2; DC-S1M2ES; DC-S1H
- Sony: ILME-FX2; ILME-FX3A; ILCE-7M5 (A7 V)
The inclusion of a USB-C interface in all of Atomos’ newest monitors and monitor-recorders gives users the ability to control key camera functions like ISO, shutter, aperture, and white balance directly from their Shinobi monitor.
This update also brings the Shinobi range in line with the camera control compatibility found in Atomos’ new Ninja monitor-recorders that include Ninja RAW, Ninja TX GO, and Ninja TX.
The firmware is available now as a free download from the Atomos website and reinforces the video innovator’s commitment to delivering powerful, user-focused tools that enhance creative control and increase the speed of production.
