ARRI Hi-5 overlays are now in SmallHD’s PageOS. With a new software license, you can render lens data directly on your SmallHD monitor.
The Monitor Overlay License, in collaboration with SmallHD, delivers clear and customizable information about focus, iris, and distance directly onto the focus puller’s monitor. It also allows for flexible positioning, scalable display elements, and seamless multi-page workflows, so users can adjust it to their personal needs.
The license provides the following overlay features:
- Display focus value and scale (independent visibility)
- Display iris value and scale (independent visibility)
- Display zoom value
- Sync magnification ON/OFF between Hi-5 and monitor
- Camera-aligned overlay modes (Off / ARRI / ARRI Surround)
- Light and dark overlay themes
- Adjustable UI size (50–200%)
- Adjustable CineRT object marker size (50–200%)
- Adjustable overlay transparency
- Adjustable background box transparency
- Save and load up to three overlay configurations
ARRI lens data integrates directly into PageOS through a licensed software interface, with overlays rendered separately from the video signal.
With one cable, you can eliminate the need for an external overlay box, reducing weight, rig complexity, and potential failure points.
Users can view focus scales, iris values, FocusBug CineRT data, and lens information directly on their monitor without looking at the hand unit.
