ZHIYUN has unveiled its new Fiveray M40SE small sized on camera LED light. Each of the 84 lamp beads is equipped with an independent lens, creating a bright circular light spot. According to ZHIYUN, this design delivers approximately 7 times higher efficiency than conventional designs.
The output is claimed to be 4,275 lux @1m / 3.3′ when used at 5500K.
The fixture also weighs in at just 250g, making it as light as a smartphone.
There are dedicated dimming and color temperature kbobs on the back of the fixture for making quick adjustments.
It also comes with both hard-shell and silicone diffusers for even, diffused soft light.
It has a CCT range of 2700K to 8500K, and a claimed CRI of 95 and TLCI of ≥ 97. It features two built-in 18650 batteries, which are claimed to provide up to 180 minutes of runtime (when used at 25%), and up to 44 minutes at maximum output. It also supports continuous use while charging.
ZHIYUN claims that the fixture utilizes active cooling technology to maintain stable, low-temperature operation during prolonged high-brightness output.
