At Cine Gear 2025 in Los Angeles, Wooden Camera was showing a new upcoming Camera Strap that utilizes a clever quick-release system.
For years, I have been using an old Sony ENG camera strap that I modified sing a shoulder pad from an old Letus 35 rig, and I have often wondered why no one was making a decent solution for cinema cameras. The Sony ENG straps are fine, but they require you to have a specialized strap pin set, which is not easy to find.
The new Wooden Camera Camera Strap features an elastic style strap, so it allows for some movement, which is handy if you want to hold the camera, but want to additionally support it with the strap.
It also utilizes a quick-release mechanism that is very similar to what is found on some firearms. The QD mount is clever because it can work in two different ways. You can have it fixed so that it will not rotate, or you can position it so that it will rotate.

Wooden Camera will have three different versions, including one that mounts to 3/8″ and another that will be 1/4-20″.

The Wooden Camera Camera Strap should be available in July. There is no current indication of pricing.
