The FIFINE AmpliTank Tank1 XLR Dynamic Microphone features an analog low-cut and mid-boost switch and an all-metal body. It looks like an affordable solution for podcasting.
Key features
- Rich, Nuanced Capture: Cardioid polar pattern and wide frequency response ensure crisp vocals/instruments capture, perfect for podcasts, streaming, or voice-overs.
- Noise-Free Clarity: The low-cut filter eliminates background hums (AC, traffic) – ideal for untreated spaces.
- Vocal Precision: Mid-boost switch helps to enhance voice clarity, making every word pop without too much post-editing.
- Lower Interference Yet Higher Standard Sound: XLR interface ensures balanced audio with mixers/interfaces – versatile for pros and newcomers.
- Pro-Grade Durability: All-metal construction withstands heavy use while adding sleek aesthetics to any setup.

The Tank1 doesn’t go all the way down to 20 Hz, so rumbling sounds won’t be a problem, and the disadvantage of the proximity effect from a cardioid dynamic capsule won’t scale up noticeably either. The microphone is claimed to have tighter bass, which won’t muddle your voice. There is a physical switch at the bottom for applying an analog low-cut filter, so you don’t have to fiddle with digital settings of software or plugins to maintain the character of the mic. This is more than an EQ button, and it cuts off the rumbling sounds to act as a noise-suppression feature.

The FIFINE Tank1 features a full metal casing and balanced XLR connectivity to effectively block out interference.

It doesn’t come with any pop filter, though you don’t necessarily need one. Because of the distance from the mesh top to the capsule and the internal pop filter, the air won’t be able to blow directly and hard into the mic.
