Bright Tangerine Moving Stories– a new BTS short film highlighting the importance of high-quality gear for documentary filmmakers

Bright Tangerine has partnered with Project Zero to produce a new BTS short film highlighting the importance of using high-quality gear for documentary filmmakers.

The Project Zero team, which included filmmakers Dom Gould and Kitalé Wilson, chose Bright Tangerine’s camera accessories for their journey across Iceland.

Initially started in 2023, Project Zero is a long-term documentary project exploring how climate change is affecting our planet’s natural landscape. Using sustainable travel and energy practices, the documentary is completely carbon-neutral.

No two days were the same in Iceland: crossing river valleys on horseback, inching up glaciers, or even skirting around an active volcano. Project Zero needed a camera setup that was robust and reliable for each extreme, whilst also being versatile enough to transition between them.

Project Zero shot was primarily on the Sony FX6 using Bright Tangerine’s Axl EVF Mount and Misfit Kick Mk II matte box. The documentary also made frequent use of the KASBAH Ātman Shoulder Rig for mobile storytelling.

The full Project Zero documentary is in post-production, with a planned release in 2025.
