If you are not familiar with the Creators’ App, it allows you to connect your Sony camera to the cloud, to enhance the functionality and convenience when shooting and sharing. By linking your smartphone to cameras, you can control them remotely from the smartphone. This enables remote shooting, which may be useful for group shots or keeping cameras still in night scenes. You can also easily check camera battery and media information, set the date, time, or camera name, and more from a smartphone.

It supports the following cameras:

FX3, FX30, α9 III, α7R V, α7 IV, α7CR, α7C II, α6700, ZV-E1, ZV-1 II, ZV-1F, and ILX-LR1. The α1 and α7S III are supposed to be supported this month.

If you want to see the connection instructions in written form, you can below:

Please update the camera to the latest version. You can check the system software version by selecting MENU – [Setup] – [Setup Options] – [Version].

If you are using Imaging Edge Mobile, update it to the version 7.7.2 or later. – If the app icon is red with “IEM” on it, it is ver.7.7.2 or later. If you have not installed Imaging Edge Mobile, skip this step. For further details, please refer to https://www.sony.net/ca/
