Meike has announced its new 85mm F1.4 Full Frame Auto Focus Portrait Lens that is available in Sony E and Nikon Z mount.

The lens weighs 735g and its optical construction consists of 13 elements in 8 groups. It also has 12 aperture blades and a 77mm front filter diameter.
The 85mm F1.4 is equipped with an STM stepping motor, which is claimed to produce silent and smooth focusing. The lens also supports electronic aperture adjustment and EXIF information transmission.
The lens has a manual aperture, but to use it you need to turn the aperture adjustment ring to manually set the aperture from F1.4 to F16.
If you want to control it directly from the camera you need to set the aperture on the lens to stop A. Additionally, if you are using the Nikon Z mount version of the lens, you also need to adjust the lens’s manual aperture ring to A stop when shooting in S, P and Auto modes.
