Today amaran has announced the 150c and 300c. These are amaran’s first full-color 150W and 300W point-source LED lights, combining RGBWW full-color control, optical and soft light Bowens Mount versatility with integrated controls.
RGBWW Technology
Both fixtures use the same RGBWW technology as the Aputure LS 600c Pro, amaran states the 150c and 300c produce stunning color quality throughout their expanded bi-color CCT range of 2,500K to 7,500K with green-magenta adjustment and 360° HSI color control with >90% coverage of the Rec.2020 Color Space. And with high CRI/TLCI [95+], SSI (D56) [71], and SSI (Tungsten) [83] scores, both fixtures can reliably output color-accurate light to achieve faithful-to-life skin tones. The amaran 150c and 300c also punch well above their weight classes, outputting 15,610 lux (5600K) and 26,580 lux (5600K) using their included Hyper Reflectors.
Etched-glass Optical Front Element
both fixtures have an etched-glass optical element in front of their LED chips that blends each individual LED’s output into one beam of light. This allows for optimal compatibility with Bowens Mount optical modifiers such as the Aputure Fresnel 2X and the all-new amaran Spotlight SE. In addition to this, both the 150c and 300c are compatible with any Bowens Mount soft light modifier on the market, including the amaran Light Dome Mini SE.
New Silent Active Cooling System
To keep the fixtures cool, the amaran 150c and 300c have a redesigned high-efficiency heat sink and silent active cooling system to minimize fan noise.
Battery Power Options
There isn’t an onboard battery option for the fixtures. The amaran 150c and 300c both can be powered via their 48V DC XLR power inputs at the rear of the lamp head. Users may purchase the Aputure 2-Bay Battery Power Station separately to power these fixtures off Gold or V-Mount batteries over a 3-Pin XLR cable.

amaran Light Dome Mini SE
The Light Dome Mini SE is amaran’s first Bowens Mount octabox soft light modifier. Featuring an 8-sided deep parabolic design with a highly reflective silver inner lining, it transforms point-source fixtures such as the amaran 150c and 300c into efficient and directional soft light sources.
The amaran Light Dome Mini SE is the ideal soft light modifier for users needing a lightweight, nimble softbox. The softbox comes in at 0.72kg / 1.61lbs and offers a quick-release support rod system.
The Light Dome Mini SE’s eight support rods snap easily into place when deploying the soft box. To tear down, each support rod is quickly collapsible via quick-release latches located near the Bowens Mount speed ring. Users can collapse two rods at a time using a pinching motion to disengage each pair of latches.
With an octagonal diffusion design, filmmakers and creators can achieve rounder reflections and eye lights compared to a square or rectangular design.
For users who need the most output possible out of a compact soft box, the Light Dome Mini SE features a deep parabolic design with a highly reflective inner lining, allowing for highly efficient light output.
Measuring 58.0 x 34.0 x 21.5cm (22.8 x 13.4 x 8.5in) when built, with a weight of only 0.73kg (1.61lbs), the Light Dome Mini SE is similar in size to but lighter than the Aputure Light Dome Mini II. The small size of the soft box allows it to be used effectively in confined spaces, and its lightweight mitigates the necessity of heavy stands to support it.

The amaran Spotlight SE is amaran’s first projection lens modifier designed for the amaran 150c or 300c. This compact optical modifier for Bowens Mount point-source fixtures (up to 300W) transforms the fixture into a powerful spotlight that can produce an even, shapeable output using its built-in shutters, different lens options, 15 M-Size Gobos, and optional Iris accessory.
Quickly Swap Lenses
Spotlight SE kits are available with a choice of a 19-degree or 36-degree lens. Users can choose to purchase each lens separately as well. The 19-degree lens focuses light into a tighter beam, resulting in a smaller, brighter illumination circle with further reach. The 36-degree lens provides a larger beam spread, perfect for illuminating wider areas. And, to make sure you can adapt to any situation on the fly, you can easily swap between Spotlight SE’s lens options.
