Sigma has announced 5 new lenses at Photokina in Germany. The lenses are the 28mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art, 40mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art, 56mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary, 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports, and the 70-200mm F2.8 DG OS HSM | Sports.

SIGMA 28mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art

The 28mm angle of view used to be the de facto wide-angle focal length in the era of film cameras, and now Sigma has finally made an Art series version. Sigma now has five wide angle lenses for full frame cameras ranging from 14mm to 35mm. With a fast 1.4 aperture, it looks like a nice solution for full frame cameras where you still want a wide field of view with minimal distortion.

SIGMA 40mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art

The 40mm and the 28mm were first announced as cine lenses a few weeks ago and now Sigma has made these focal lengths available in the Art series. Thanks to its superior optical performance, the lenses can accommodate 50 million pixels and above in full-frame still cameras and meet the high-resolution requirements of leading-edge 8K video technology. As high-end cine lenses, SIGMA offers 10 prime lenses, ranging from 14mm to 135mm, compatible with 35mm full-frame models, in the FF High-Speed Prime Line. SIGMA also provides one zoom lens in the FF Zoom Line, and two zoom lenses compatible with super 35 in the High-Speed Zoom Line.

SIGMA 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports

Sigma claims that 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports is the world’s first 10× optical zoom telephoto lens with a tele end of 600mm Covering from 60mm to 600mm, the 10× hyper-telephoto zoom lens is said to achieve the same level of image quality as the SIGMA 150–600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports. The lens is constructed of 25 elements in 19 groups, and it incorporates Intelligent OS adopting the latest algorithm to deliver an image stabilization effect of 4 stops.
