NAB 2016: G-Technology shows new 120TB rack drive and Shuttle XL

Dan Chung talks to Mike from G-Technology about their new drives. The G Rack 12 is a high performance NAS drive with 12 bays of drives for between 48TB and 120TB of storage. For high capacity you can also add a second chassis to add up to another 120TB. There’s four 10GbE network ports on the back and transfer rates of up to 2,000MB/s.

The G Speed Shuttle XL is designed to be used both in the field and in the studio. It has a rugged case and a carry handle. There are both six and eight bay configured Raid versions with Thunderbolt 2, the six-bay version also includes two slots for EV drives. There is also the Studio XL, which features the same choice of set ups, without the rugged case. And finally, there are more formats in the works for the EV Series reader we saw back at IBC last year for RED mini-mags.
