It mounts onto the top front corner of your Sony FX5 so you can increase your mounting options without taking up the entire top of the camera. The lightweight aluminum mount secures onto your camera using two captive mounting screws.
It allows you to mount a mic or light on top using the integrated cold shoe mount, and a QD socket offers quick mounting for a camera strap. An M4 thread on the front provides mounting for a separately available 15mm rod bracket such as the Bright Tangerine Forward Rod Mount ($25 USD).
