Deity D4RX: A Four-Channel True Diversity Slot Receiver Announced at IBC 2026

Deity Announced the D4RX to IBC 2026, a four-channel digital UHF receiver the company says is the first true-diversity digital slot quad on the market. It’s the follow-up to a design Deity teased and then pulled back on a couple of years ago after gathering feedback. We talked to Deity’s Andrew Jones about what changed.

What it is

The D4RX packs eight radios into a true-diversity, four-channel receiver in a slot-style body, built to drop into a Panasonic-style uni-slot mount (compatible with Panasonic’s AJ-CX, AJ-PX, and earlier HPX cameras) or, with a swappable rear plate, onto a sled for cages, cold shoes, or camera top handles. It pairs with Deity’s THEOS transmitters.

Remote control and THEOS Link

The 2.4GHz antenna is dedicated to THEOS Link, which Deity had already used in limited form on other THEOS gear. On the D4RX, Andrew described it as the full version: a 3-second spectrum scan can find clean frequencies for all four channels and push them out to all four paired transmitters at once, rather than adjusting each transmitter by hand. THEOS Link also reaches each transmitter’s onboard 32-bit float recorder and its gain and RF power settings remotely.

LiveHit DeNoiser at the receiver

None of Deity’s transmitters currently run the LiveHit DeNoiser algorithm, so building it into the D4RX at the receiver level means all four channels get noise reduction regardless of which transmitters are paired to it.

Mounting and power

The D4RX works directly with Panasonic’s uni-slot mount, but Deity also built a swappable rear plate for people without slot-equipped gear, turning the receiver into a belt-clip sled with mounting brackets for a cage, cold shoe, or camera top handle. In that configuration, audio comes out through 2 TA5 connectors (splitting to 4 channels via Y-cables) and power comes from a 4-pin push-pull connector accepting 12-18V, which can be run off a camera’s P-Tap.

Price & availability

Deity is targeting the end of 2026 for shipping. Andrew didn’t give a number but said pricing will be aggressive, in line with Deity’s approach of pricing new gear to get it into as many hands as possible rather than positioning it as a premium product.
