HomePower 1000 Plus V2 could be used for home backup during outages, outdoor work including film shoots and job sites, and electricity-equipped camping. According to the company, it features high-end components, an 11-kWh expandability ceiling, and Jackery’s 5-year warranty.

Power disruptions are becoming increasingly common as power grids face growing challenges due to aging infrastructure and extreme weather conditions. If you want to have a backup in place, it’s nice to have a solution that is reliable and avoids the noise, emissions, and maintenance associated with traditional gas generators.

Permanent whole-home backup systems pose prohibitive cost and installation challenges. HomePower 1000 Plus V2 provides suitable output for a large range of applications, along with a low barrier to entry thanks to straightforward scalability. Starting from a 1024-Wh base capacity, its modular architecture supports a maximum capacity of up to 11 kWh using Jackery’s 2 kWh expansion batteries.

Its 1800W-rated sustained output and peak 3600W surge capability, distributed across four pure sine-wave AC outlets, can drive roughly 80% of standard household appliances and heavy-duty power tools. HomePower 1000 Plus V2 also incorporates DC output options, including 140W and 30W USB-C Power Delivery ports, an 18W USB-A port, and a 12V/10A automotive-type power socket.

HomePower 1000 Plus V2 also offers flexible high-speed charging. Basic AC charging provides an 80% top-up from empty in just 36 minutes, with AC flash charging and hybrid AC+DC charging reaching a full charge in as little as 50 and 47 minutes, respectively. The unit’s dual DC inputs also support solar panel and DC-DC alternator charging at up to 400W, delivering a full solar charge in as little as 2 hours and 43 minutes.

To safeguard sensitive equipment during brownouts and blackouts, HomePower 1000 Plus V2’s integrated uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system transfers connected devices to battery power in 10 milliseconds or less when instability hits. This instantaneous switchover keeps desktop PCs, Wi-Fi routers, and refrigeration systems online without rebooting, losing data, or damaging sensitive components. Plus, inline 3kV/1000J surge protection shields connected electronics from harmful spikes during severe weather or grid malfunctions.

A companion mobile app lets users prioritize output at the circuit level to keep the most important devices up and running. As battery reserves run low, de-prioritized circuits disconnect, dedicating remaining power to critical loads like refrigerators without affecting the power station’s operation as a whole. Additionally, Time-of-Use (TOU) peak shaving lets households automate charging during off-peak hours and save energy for peak windows, actively reducing electricity bills.

The HomePower 1000 Plus V2 is claimed to use premium LiFePO4 battery cells engineered for a long life. They are stated to be rated to maintain at least 70% capacity after 6,000 charge cycles; the battery implementation promises an operational lifespan of about 16 years based on daily full charge and discharge cycles.

The power station has dimensions of 12.4 by 7.9 by 9.2 inches and weighs just 23.8 lb. It supports charging at temperatures as low as 14°F (-10°C).
