The new amaran Mic is a $99 USD wireless desktop microphone that was
designed for livestreaming, podcasting, and content creation from a desk.
The amaran Mic features wired or wireless recording. The Mic connects directly to a compatible device with a USB-C cable, or you can plug in the pre-paired USB-C receiver to go wireless.
It utilizes the 2.4GHz wireless frequency spectrum, and it is claimed to have a transmission range of up to 50m / 164ft in unobstructed environments.
The amaran Mic marks the brand’s first foray into audio as they set out to capitalize on the creator boom. The Mic is said to complement the company’sVerge purpose-built desktop lighting series.

The amaran Mic features a large 30mm dynamic capsule and a supercardioid pickup pattern that is claimed to be good for capturing voices front and center, while dialing back sound from the sides. It has an 86 dB
signal-to-noise ratio, support for sound pressure levels up to 130dB, and a built-in automatic limiter.
According to amaran, built-in AI noise reduction helps filter out background noise. Users can choose Original Sound for natural, unprocessed capture; Standard Noise Reduction for light cleanup of steady background sounds such as fan noise and AC hum; or AI Noise Reduction for deeper cleanup of unpredictable distractions such as keyboard clicks and traffic noise.
The amaran Mic allows for key adjustments directly on the microphone instead of requiring a software detour mid-session. Users have the ability
to switch between Noise Reduction modes from the mic itself, as well as
adjust mic and monitor volume, mute the microphone, check battery status, and monitor audio in real time.
The amaran Desktop App gives users the ability to access EQ presets and custom curves, as well as select Vocal Enhancement, Noise Gate, and Limiter.
The amaran Mic comes with a removable desktop stand and the optional Low-Profile Boom Arm provides an additional mounting option and will begin shipping in Q4 2026. Both mounting configurations will be available in Charcoal and White.
