The lightweight body is constructed from CNC-machined brass for improved resistance to interference and durability.

With strong sensitivity and high maximum SPL handling, the Mic-D2 is claimed to provide a robust, distortion-free signal. Its circuit utilizes a built-in bass boost to enhance low-frequency detail. The microphone’s XLR output and included XLR cable enable standardized hookup to mic preamps, mixers, and a variety of portable audio recorders. It is operated via 48V phantom power, so no batteries are required.
