Sony has posted up a video with Jon Joffin, ASC, and cinematographer Mitchell Baxter, where they share how they shot the ASC Award-nominated music video “False Prophet” by Pillars of a Twisted City.
The video was captured entirely with the VENICE Extension System Mini. Joffin and Baxter used only available light and took advantage of the small form factor and VENICE 2 sensor to find compositions quickly. Their VENICE Extension System Mini was rigged on a DJI RS 4 Pro with the main body carried in a backpack, while a single focus motor and small E-mount lenses, specifically the Thypoch Simeras and the Zeiss Nano Primes, were used to keep the weight down.
