Atomos Ninja TX Creative Setups: Build a Video Village with Phone, iPad & Monitor

In the fourth episode of a 10‑part educational series from Atomos, you can learn real-world ways to use the Atomos Ninja TX with other Atomos products to build smarter on-set workflows. From recording ProRes to your phone with Ninja Phone, to dual-sided monitoring for talent, to creating a portable video village with an iPad, this video shows setups I actually use in the field.

Atomos has already released three episodes in a 10‑part educational series created with Christine Shaw of Drop40 Productions that is designed to help you get the most out of your Ninja TX and Ninja TX GO.

In the first episode, Christine shows you essential exposure and focus tools – including Peaking, Waveform, False Color, Vectorscope, Brightness, Onion Skin (available on monitors with recording capability), and Trigger Recording.

In the second episode, Christine shows you the differences between ProRes, ProRes RAW, DNx, and H.265 – covering file sizes, ideal use cases, and compatibility. This helps creators choose the right format for their project and hardware. Christine also walks through recording to a CFexpress Type B card or an external SSD.

In the third episode, you can learn exactly how to set up and use camera control on your Atomos Ninja TX monitor. This feature lets you control your camera remotely, which is useful for low-angle shots, high-mounted cameras, and interview setups.

  • Atomos Ninja TX with latest firmware
  • Compatible camera with latest firmware
  • USB-C cable (included or third-party)
