Astera has unveiled its newest fixture, QuikBeam. It is an ultra-compact spotlight that combines the equivalent power of a 200W tungsten with cutting-edge LED technology, a 13°-60° Fresnel-based zoom, swappable QuikBrick batteries, and built-in Power over Ethernet (PoE).
QuikBeam was created specifically to deliver maximum performance in the smallest, lightest form factor possible. This ultra-compact powerhouse measures just 136mm x 120mm / 5.35″ x 4.75″ and weighs 1617g / 3.56 lbs. It draws just 20W.

It was engineered to fit into any environment and made for live events, film sets, and broadcast productions.

QuikBeam is claimed to deliver clean, defined beams for precise uplighting, accents, and feature highlighting, following the tradition of film Inkies with bold Fresnel lenses. It features a 13°-60° QuikTurn zoom and a new HotBeam function that allows it to go beyond 13°.

QuikBeam offers a versatile power ecosystem. Its fully waterproof QuikBrick batteries can be quickly swapped and fast charged when needed. Users can choose from three charging methods: via PoE while wired in the fixture, within the optional ChargingDock (charges up to 4 QuikBricks at once), or through its USB-C port.
For hardwired applications, users can connect QuikBeam up to 100 meters/328 feet from the PowerInjector or IP65 NetBox, which enables 4 PoE EtherCON outputs and PrepBox functionality, streamlining setup and configuration in under 10 seconds.
QuikBeam combines power and data in a single cable, supporting standard sACN and ArtNet signals. The IP65-rated fixture works with existing PoE switches, and the battery charges when connected.

QuikBeam utilizes Astera’s Titan LED Engine to provide accurate RGBMA color rendering that matches across all Astera products.
For mounting, there are 3/8″ and 1/4″ built-in threads and a removable yoke with integrated AirlineTrack for tripod or truss mounting (via 28/16 TrackSpigot).

QuikBeam features built-in CRMX, wireless DMX, AsteraApp, UHF connectivity, infrared remote control, and web interface.
The accessory system includes lightweight Barndoors, an EdgeSoftener filter slips over the lens to emulate the gentle falloff of a classic Fresnel, and a Rotatable Elliptical Filter that can be similarly installed to transform the circular beam shape into an adjustable ellipse.
