The CINELUX FUJINON MK to RED DSMC Conversion Kit lets you mount your MK 18–55mm and MK 50–135mm lenses directly onto RED DSMC1, DSMC2, and Ranger cameras. The MK 18–55mm and MK 50–135mm are very good lenses and they are also lightweight and have a decent focal range.
Designed as a full mechanical conversion, it preserves parfocal accuracy, optical performance, and stability while unlocking MK lenses for RED shooters. The lenses only cover a 28.5 mm image circle, so they are only suitable for use with S35-sized sensors.
The kit makes use of RED’s interchangeable mount system, attaching directly to the camera body via four knurled thumbscrews. These custom stainless-steel fasteners provide stability when tightened by hand and can be torque-secured with a T20 Torx driver.
Installation is simple and fully reversible, requiring just the included screwdriver and about 15 minutes to complete. Swap back to the original Sony-E mount at any time.
The mount incorporates an integrated light baffle to suppress unwanted reflections and optimise flare control. On DSMC2 and Ranger cameras, it works seamlessly with RED’s internal baffle for enhanced optical clarity. For the 50–135mm conversion, an extended light baffle is included, delivering precise control over light spill and minimising internal reflections for longer focal lengths.
