Laowa has teased new anamorphic lenses in a short video they released. There is no information about focal lengths, mounts, T stops, squeeze factor, etc. available.

All I can tell you is that there will be an upcoming launch event and you can register to be able to watch that on Laowa’s website.
There is certainly a market for more affordable anamorphic lenses and we have seen companies such as SIRUI and Vazen release options over the last few years.

Although Laowa doesn’t have any prior experience making anamorphic lenses they did release a 1.33x rear anamorphic adaptor for their OOOM 25-100mm T2.9 Cine Lens.
I am excited to see what Laowa will do as they have a good reputation for making unique and interesting lenses. Hopefully, that is something that carries over into this upcoming anamorphic series.
