ARRI has announced the LPM-1 Software Update Package SUP 1.0.0, which improves the overall user experience and introduces safeguards to power management in situations where the monitor is connected to the camera solely via a VF cable, without additional power supplied from an RS cable connection.

This update is recommended for all LPM-1 monitors as it improves the overall user experience and introduces the following safeguards to power management in situations where the monitor is connected to the camera solely via a VF cable, without additional power supplied from an RS cable connection:
In the event of the required power approaching the limit of what the VF cable alone can deliver, warnings are shown as overlays on the monitor video.
Should a low power supply voltage be detected, the backlight is automatically limited to a low level to reduce the power needing to be supplied through the cable.
