I have seen people wrapping cars, but not cameras! ALPHAGVRD is teasing a new upcoming skin for the ARRI Alexa Mini LF.
The 3M vinyl skins are claimed to ensure protection against everyday use, and according to the company, there’s no residue when removing the skin. The skins are precision cut to exact fitment they lay on the designated areas perfectly so you may only need a heat gun or hair dryer for the rubber grip section of the camera where it’ll require a little heat to warp around the contours. It takes around 30 minutes, and a steady hand to completely wrap a camera. If you aren’t good at putting screen protectors on a smartphone, then its probably a good idea to give this a miss!
Whether or not you are into this sort of thing is very much a personal decision, but if you wanted to help protect your camera from getting scratches and marks and you like customization, maybe it will be for you.
