Middle Control 4.0 added support for Canon Cinema EOS and mirrorless cameras, LUMIX box/mirrorless cameras, and native support for various PTZ and Z CAM models. Users can also control and monitor an iPhone using the Blackmagic Camera App over a network.

A new dashboard in 4.0 offers live status for all cameras. Live View and Multi-View have been upgraded with high-quality monitoring tools like false color, zebra, peaking, scopes, and the ability to use custom LUTs.

Middle Control Pro also now supports exporting live feeds via HDMI, SDI, OBS, vMix, or Wirecast. Additionally, there is improved support for Middle Remote, Canon PTZ controllers, Xbox controllers, and VISCA panels, as well as new global presets and an automation page for hands-free moves like zoom loops, gimbal shakes, and preset sequences.

A new Record Center manages recording across cameras, HyperDecks, and ATEM switchers, and networking upgrades include automatic discovery and VLAN support.
