Alvins Cables D-tap Splitter First Look at IBC 2026

At IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, Alvins Cables was showing a new, upcoming D-tap splitter that provides a D-tap to LEMO input, and then the splitter has two 2-pin LEMO outputs, three D-taps, and a USB-C output. It also has a safety breaker in the D-tap connector, so power will switch off if you plug it in incorrectly.

This looks like an interesting solution if you don’t have any LEMO outputs on your camera and you need to power accessories such as monitors or wireless video TX units that only have a LEMO input for power.

It would also make for a good solution if you had a client monitor that doesn’t have any power output ports where you need to power a wireless video RX unit.

There is a small mounting plate on the back of the splitter box, as well as 1/4-20″ thread with locating pins.

Alvins Cables was also showing an upcoming reversible D-tap cable solution that can go to LEMO or any other power connector, as well as a non-reversible D-tap with a safety switch that will cut power if you plug it in indirectly.
