At IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, Tentcale Sync was showcasing TRACK E2, an upcoming iteration of its popular TRACK E Audio Recorder. It maintains a lot of the same features that were in the original, such as 32-Bit Float recording and timecode support, but now it includes stereo recording, mic/line selection, an LCD display, and a clever AI system that can help identify recording issues and then warn you on the device and in the app.

The TRACK E2 continuously analyzes your recording, and it gives you immediate feedback on the quality of your audio. Whether you’re recording an interview, voice-over, or any other spoken content, you can quickly see if your recording sounds good. It does this by showing a little colored bubble on the display.
If there is an issue, it will turn red.
You can also see it in the app, and it will give you an alert if the issue persists for too long. This is very handy because with set-and-forget recorders like this, you are usually not monitoring; you don’t want to find out later, when you are editing, that there has been a major issue.
The TRACK E2 also features upgraded build quality and better weather, dust, and moisture protection than its predecessor.
There is also now a dedicated recording button, instead of having to slide a lever.
You can now also choose to do Stereo or Mono recordings.

There is also the ability to now record line-level audio from a mixer, mixing console, or other line-level source directly through the TRACK E2’s microphone input.
With the Tentacle Setup App, you can easily sync, control, and monitor your TRACK E2 via Bluetooth from your mobile device. The built-in OLED display shows you everything from audio levels and battery status to timecode.
Pricing & Availability
The Tentacle Sync TRACK E2 should be available towards the end of the year. The pricing will be slightly higher than the existing TRACK E.
