Atomos has announced the Ground Control desktop app that mounts ATOMOSphere workspaces as local drives, allowing users to browse, organize, and access cloud media just like local files.
Alongside Ground Control, Atomos is also introducing Bins and Editable Review Links, extending collaboration across the ATOMOSphere platform.
If you are not familiar with ATOMOSphere, it is a cloud-based production ecosystem designed for video professionals, photographers, and content creators. It now enables users to upload, store, edit, share, review, and collaborate on media from anywhere in the world.
With Ground Control, creators can move files, preview media, and access content directly from the Finder. Files are downloaded and intelligently cached on demand, providing immediate access while minimizing local storage requirements.
Bins let teams organize media into shared collections without moving or duplicating files. This makes it easier to collaborate on edits, reviews, and shot selections.
Editable Review Links let users update shared review links after they’ve been sent by adding or removing media or changing permissions. Teams stay aligned around a single review destination, eliminating duplicate links and reducing confusion during client approvals.
ATOMOSphere supports a wide range of video and still image formats, including ProRes, HEVC, H.264, and RAW.
Availability
The Ground Control desktop application is now available for all ATOMOSphere members on macOS 15 or later. Anyone can sign up for a free ATOMOSphere account today.
