SIGMA adds three new focal lengths to the Aizu Prime lineup

SIGMA has added three new focal lengths to the Aizu Prime lineup: the 21mm T1.3 LF, 100mm T1.3 LF, and 125mm T1.3 LF.

SIGMA first announced the Aizu Prime, a large-format cinema lens line, back in June 2025. The 12-lens lineup features a consistent T1.3 aperture across the full range from 18mm to 125mm. The three new lenses, 21mm, 100mm, and 125mm, now join the 8 lenses from 25mm to 75mm previously released.

SIGMA’s Aizu Primes are claimed to be the world’s first large-format cinema lenses to have a constant T1.3 aperture across all focal lengths. The lenses are available in either PL or Sony E mount.

All of the lenses cover a ⌀46.3mm image circle, ensuring full coverage not only for full-frame and Super 35 formats, but also for the latest large-format cameras such as the ARRI ALEXA LF Open Gate and VistaVision.

According to SIGMA, the Aizu Primes combine modern sharpness with an organic and naturally soft look. 

All lenses in the Aizu Prime lineup feature an optical system developed specifically for cinema applications. The lenses are said to have modern sharpness, but still provide an organic look. Distortion and focus breathing are claimed to be minimized.

SIGMA states that all the lenses have consistent color balance, contrast, and flare characteristics.

The Aizu Prime lenses are relatively lightweight, weighing between 1.6- 2.2 kg / 3.5-4.85 lbs, allowing them to be used on a dolly, Steadicam, or gimbal, and for handheld operation.

The Aizu Prime lenses support ZEISS eXtended Data, offering real-time lens metadata during shooting. It also enables the export of distortion and shading correction data, streamlining workflows for VFX productions.

The three new focal lengths are set to launch in November, 2026.

The 21mm T1.3 LF will be $9,799 USD; and the 100mm T1.3 LF and 125mm T1.3 LF are also $9,799 USD.
