Tilta has introduced a new Universal Cooling System that was designed for use with cameras that are susceptible to overheating when used for extended periods of time in hot conditions.

It is built around thermoelectric (semiconductor) cooling technology. Tilta states that the Universal Cooling System pairs a high-efficiency thermoelectric plate with aluminum alloy heatsink fins, a near-silent fan, and high thermal conductivity silicone to pull heat away from your camera fast.

There are three adjustable modes to choose from. Level 1 (Quiet Mode) runs at approximately 41°F (5°C) with fan noise running as low as 30dB and below, ideal for on-set audio recording. Level 2 (Ice-Cool Mode) delivers maximum cooling down to 32°F (0°C). Auto Mode automatically adjusts cooling to maintain a stable 68°F ± 5.5°F (20°C ± 3°C) range. A built-in TFT color display shows real-time temperature and the current operating mode.

The latch-based quick-mount design lets you attach or remove the cooling system with a single press.

The Power Supply for Universal Cooling System magnetically attaches for a cable-free, compact setup. For a wired external connection, users can power via USB-C from a PD power source or a V-Mount battery.

The Tilta Universal Cooling System is compatible with a wide range of camera models across Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, and Lumix, including but not limited to the Sony ZV series, A7 series, FX3, and FX30; Canon R and PowerShot series; Nikon Z30, Zfc, and Zf; Fujifilm X-H2, X-H2S, X-S10, X-S20, and X-T4; and Panasonic Lumix GH and G series cameras.

NOTE: The Power Supply for the Universal Cooling System is available separately by itself and included in the Power Kit, which also includes a Universal Cooling System. When in Level 1 (Quiet Mode), fan noise might still interfere with the camera’s built-in microphone recording because of the close proximity.

Pricing & Availability

The Tilta Universal Cooling System is $35 USD. The Tilta Universal Cooling System with Power Kit is $49 USD. The Power Supply is also available separately for $15 USD.
