MID49 was showing its new FX6 XLR No Handle Solution at Cine Gear 2026. The FX6 has XLR connectors on the handle, and without it, you can’t use an XLR microphone connection.
MID49 came up with a solution that bypasses the handle so you can plug in an XLR microphone like a shotgun mic using the converter box and the proprietary cable connection that the handle uses.
The current version is a prototype, and the box will be much smaller to fit the FX6 in a compact way.
