At NAB 2026 in Las Vegas, I came across a small company with a product called Marker Maker that makes visible markers for your NLE, wirelessly, with timecode.
This was a very interesting product that consists of two devices: a timecode RX unit and a wireless Bluetooth trigger.
Users can rig the RX on their camera using any existing Tentacle Sync E mount and pair the TX button. The TX will work with just about any timecode system, such as those from Tentacle Sync, Deity, etc.

When the user presses any RX or TX marker button, it then makes a marker. The markers will then appear in your NLE on the timeline.
You can output markers and/or LTC timecode via 3.5mm stereo and/or write to the internal SD card.
These markers get recorded to an audio track, either on your camera or/and/ to an SD card in the RX unit. If you are using it with a smaller-sized mirrorless hybrid or a camera that takes LTC timecode and records it as an audio track, you will lose two audio tracks, as one will have the markers and the other will have the timecode. That’s why it is probably better to record the audio track with the markers to the SD card in the RX unit. However, there is a built-in mic for creating a scratch track, with embedded timecode on the RX unit.
The system will work up to distances of 100m / 330′ when making marks.

You can have up to 5 TX units making marks with the one RX unit.

Once you bring the material into an NLE, the markers will appear as icons on an audio track, and they will have a small sound.

Under the hood, the system is also a complete LTC timecode generator that can act as a master or jam sync with your existing timecode devices.
The RX has an OLED screen, so you don’t need your phone to pair with a TX. There are Lithium-ion batteries in both units, and they can be charged via USB-C. They are claimed to offer up to twelve hours of battery run time on a single charge.
Pricing & Availability

You can use the code USETHENEWS for an additional 10% off pre-orders for both the Marker Maker RX and TX, which are now live.

A Marker Maker Bundle is available for $300 USD.
NAB pre-orders are 10% off (30% with the extra Newsshooter code and by joining the mailing list), and anticipated shipping is later this year. The company is hoping for the end of summer.
