Tilta has unveiled a motorized wheel kit for their Boulder Camera Cart. The kit includes one wireless controller that features two speed settings. The control mounts to the Boulder cart via a clamp and can be adjusted to make it comfortable.

Powering the wheels can be a bit cumbersome, as Tilta doesn’t yet have a battery solution of its own. For now, a portable 110-volt battery block with around 300 watts is required and more than enough for a full production day.

It can be mounted in a tray of some kind on the outside of the cart due to the many mounting points that are avaiable. This would be ideal to keep the decks free for gear.

The Tiltra Motorized Wheels Kit includes:
- One wireless control handle
- 2 motorized wheels
- power cable to power the wheels
The idea is to help push the cart or make it easier to push, rather than have the motors do all the work. Compared to an eBike, peddling is easier. You could use fully motorized pushing, but the battery will run down faster. The assist would be very helpful going up hill or on rougher terrain.

It has two settings. Normal walking and boost mode. In boost mode, you can move the cart at jogging speed.
The motorized wheels can handle the same 600-pound limit as the Boulder Cart.
